Painting eyes can be very simple or give you a raging headache. It all depends on the type of eyes you are doing. If they are basic, G3 eyes then all you need to do is recolor. This guide does not cover painting G3 eyes from scratch, so if you've removed them, you're out of luck. |

For G3 eyes all you need to do is use your small, round brush and paint over the color parts with the color you plan to use. Squeeze a small amount of your first paint color into one of the wells in your pallet. Make sure to thin it out a little with some water. Two or three drops from the end of your paintbrush should do it. I've found that the best way to get a really clean look on them is to use the "Dab painting" method. A guide about this method will be posted in the main tutorials section sometime in the near future. Until then, whatever way you usually paint is fine. |

Once your eyes are painted you just need to seal them. Sealer requires no thinning. Just use a medium flat brush to smooth it over the symbol. Once the sealer is dry your eyes are done!
Many people find their own style of eyes over time, and for this reason I will not be showing you how to do really fancy eyes. There will, however, be cat and horse eye tutorials eventually, so be on the lookout. |
